MAMAS Study
By InvitationMAMAS: Moms' Assessment of Human Milk Acceptability and Sensory Perception
MAMAS studies how storage conditions may affect the sensory qualities of expressed human milk, including smell, taste, texture, and overall acceptability.
Study Activities
- Provide 5 to 6 oz of freshly expressed milk.
- Attend one in-person visit in Princeton, New Jersey.
- Complete three at-home sensory evaluations at scheduled times.
- Complete brief study questionnaires connected to each evaluation.
Who May Be Eligible
- Lactating parent, at least 18 years old.
- Currently pumping and storing human milk.
- Located in New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania.
- Able to attend one in-person study visit in Princeton, New Jersey.
What to Expect
- The eligibility form helps the study team confirm whether the visit and at-home evaluations can work for you.
- If the study looks like a possible match, the team will explain consent, scheduling, and sample handling before you begin.
- Study materials and sensory evaluation instructions are provided directly by the study team.
